It is 6:34am and I’m wide awake,
I’ve been awake for 2 days straight.
So I drive to the sheep farm to count them,
But they are all dead
So I can’t fall asleep
Some say you don’t need sleep
If you can master the art of dreaming,
As you are awake
I watch the sun cross the sky twice through a crack in the blinds,
While lying in bed wondering what the time is,
The time at which majority of the world is fast asleep.
Estimate; imagine three billion pairs of rapid eye movements,
An orchestra of three billion hearts sustaining life,
Pulsating at different tempos, with the same objectives,
To operate and maintain a host for your soul.
